Why Mary Kay
When I was a teenager my mom introduced me to Mary Kay as an
avenue for me to learn how to take better care of myself and my
appearance. Through the years I
have experimented with several other brands of cleaners and make-ups never
quite finding the balance I found in Mary Kay. For me nothing worked quite the same. As with most women I found myself
having days where applying make-up was just not as much of a priority as an
extra 10 minutes of sleep and a pony tail.
Now as a full time mom I am realizing once again how
important it is to spend a little extra time to polish my appearance for the
day, this time it’s not my mom leading the way but more so watching my daughter
make pretend “lipstick” out of almost anything and pretending a stray paint
brush is a make-up brush.
It is with this intention that I am venturing into the world
of Mary Kay. Join me on the
journey as I explore everything from make-up application techniques to body
image and raising a daughter in an increasingly complicated and confusing
world.
On this blog and through Facebook I will also be featuring
personal Mary Kay product reviews, specials and individual profiles. I am now scheduling 5 free personalized
make-up applications for the month of October for the first 5 people to respond
to this blog post and are in the Metro Detroit Area as a Kick Off for my Mary
Kay Business. (Honestly, I would
love the practice) I also have
dates open and available for personal product demonstrations as well as
parties.
